Diana Zhao

Diana is an M.P.P. candidate with a concentration in health policy and holds a B.S. from Stanford. With the Public Policy department's support, Diana has received two summer fellowships to work at the Asian Prisoner Support Committee and China's first National Cord Blood Bank in Beijing. She's gotten to bring the graduate cohort closer together this past year as co-President of Graduate Student Council through events like bioluminescent kayaking, and continues pursuing econometrics and statistical methods to better address healthcare inequalities from a policy-oriented perspective. At Stanford, she founded a suicide prevention empowerment organization called We Continue that teaches response skills during an acute suicidal crisis, taught ASB serving learning courses about immigration policy through the Haas Center, and discovered a love of unearthing individual narratives through creative writing. Her passion for changing the healthcare system has led her to plan to pursue medicine after graduation.
