After graduating from the Farm (MA in Public Policy in 2013, BA in Psychology), I started my career working at Interpol (in France) and the Singapore government as a policy officer. It was exciting and fun to go on various missions with Interpol (no, it isn’t like the movies), but I eventually decided to be back on the ground providing psychological services. I have just completed my PhD in Clinical/Counseling Psychology at NYU, and am now working as a Psychologist in the Emergency Department at St Barnabas Hospital, a safety-net hospital in The Bronx. I see patients who are acutely psychotic or suicidal and help them to get the psychological treatment that they need to recover and get back on their feet. I miss my Public Policy days fondly; I met some of the kindest staff there (shoutout to Niki Calastas and Kellie Lavin) who taught me so much about life, I loved learning from my wonderful classmates whom I took classes with in the SIEPR building (shoutout to Olivia Hu, Henry Cheng, Kendall Ryan, Sahil Bloom). I love seeing the wonderful things that alums are doing in our public policy newsletters (Go Class of 2013!).
