Blake Emmerson

Blake Emmerson is a Senior Associate at Ikaso Consulting, where he guides Ikaso's public sector clients through complex Medicaid, managed care, child welfare, information technology, and human services procurements. At Ikaso, Blake has helped state governments navigate major children's and health and human services transitions and transformations. A particularly rewarding aspect of his work is seeing how innovative child welfare programs lead to better outcomes for both children and families. 

Blake attended Stanford for his undergraduate and graduate studies, receiving a BA in International Relations in 2014 and MA in Public Policy in 2015. Prior to his tenure at Ikaso, Blake’s work focused on policymaking within the political process. As a congressional aide he supported a variety of legislative goals, including domestic tax policy, transportation, and immigration reform. He also served as an advocate for international organizations including the United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA) and Girls Not Brides.

Blake considers applying to and attending the Public Policy coterminal MA to be one of his best career decisions and is thankful for all he learned from his professors and classmates.
