Jordan Payne

Jordan is a senior majoring in Public Policy with a concentration in Law and the Legal System. She is interested in the intersection of law and social justice and is grateful to the Public Policy program for supporting her interests. Each summer and through Stanford coursework, she has worked towards refining her understanding of social justice and her place in fighting for equality. She spent her summers at Legal Services of Greater Miami, the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California. During the spring of her junior year, Jordan spent the quarter at Stanford in Washington and interned at the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, Immigrant & Employee Rights Section. On campus, Jordan is involved with Stanford in Government, Public Policy, Stanford Planned Parenthood, and a service group called Servant Breakfast that cooks and serves breakfast at the Opportunity Center, a service center for homeless and low-income folks in the Bay Area. Beyond academics, Jordan enjoys practicing yoga, Facetiming her family back home in Miami, and seeing her dogs as much as possible!
