Amanda is a senior pursuing both a B.A. and an M.A. in Public Policy with a concentration in Environmental and Energy Policy. She also has a minor in Biology and studied abroad in Australia, where she completed field research on ‘blue carbon.’ Currently, she is working on an evaluation of tax credits in California for the Public Policy Graduate Practicum. Last summer, as a Public Policy Summer Fellow, Amanda got the chance to work as a Natural Resource Specialist at the Congressional Research Service in Washington, D.C. While there, Amanda co-authored multiple reports on various California restoration initiatives and assisted with testimony on water issues. At Stanford, she is a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi, an ice skating coach in Palo Alto, and the Public Policy office assistant. In her free time, Amanda enjoys biking, running, cooking, and exploring the farmer’s market with friends. After graduating, she hopes to work for a non-profit or to assist the government with environmental policy and research.
