Engage with founders of leading social ventures, including a MacArthur "genius" Fellow, two Forbes "30 under 30" awardees, an "Illuminating Injustice" award winner, and one of Fast Company's "45 Social Entrepreneurs Who Are Changing the World". Guest social entrepreneurs will include the founder of Ashoka and thought leader, Bill Drayton, who gave rise to the term "social entrepreneurship". Several Schwab, Echoing Green and Ashoka Fellows will also share their journeys to launch values-driven ventures. The weekly line-up of accomplished high-impact founders will feature Ariela Safira of REAL, Akshay Makar of Climatenza, Tracy McCurty of Black Belt Justice Center, Danny Haber of OWOW, Zubaida Bai of Grameen Foundation, Kyle Zimmer of First Book and Mark Koska of Apiject. Students will be exposed to the perspectives and endeavors of global high-impact entrepreneurs who address social and environmental needs in the U.S. and internationally through for-profit, nonprofit and hybrid models. Each week students will have the opportunity to directly converse with guest social entrepreneurs. This class will expose students to pioneering thought leaders, diverse impact career paths, networking and potential internship and job opportunities.
